going or want to go to the march in DC this weekend?
I'm probably going to end up taking a Greyhound bus and crashing at a friends place in VA, but that is my last resort plan. I talked to the Center for Peace which was listed as carpooling with a set of vans, but I guess not enough people signed up so they canceled it.
I find it very hard to believe that in a college town a few hours away from DC that there are not enough people interested in this to even take a few vans down.
I know this is last minute. But if you don't have any serious plans for this weekend why not try to make a difference?. You would already have at least 1 other person to go with, bus tickets are not very expensive and Georgetown University is hosting students in their dorms (I just graduated, so I don't know if I can stay there). You can check out all the information here.
This would be my first ever protest, and actually the most political action I've taken besides voting, writing letters and posting here. I think it would be a worthwhile cause and honestly I'm tired of just hanging out and being mad. At a minimum I would get to vent all that pent up political frustration and meet some really interesting people.
It would be easier to get a group of people together. I refuse to believe that I'm the only person at Penn State who wants the war to end. So if you are interested, or know someone who maybe interested, or just want to give me some advice post below. I'll be back and forth on this all day. I'm sure it's going to roll off the list pretty quickly but I'll check it for the next couple days if someone sends it to you later.
I added a poll too for the hell of it.
